The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our world. It is a stressful and challenging time for all, but to move on top of that, which is already a stressful and daunting task, you may feel worried and anxious. Please be assured that we are #DoingOurPart to keep you and our employees safe. We aim to make your move a stress-free experience.
Here are some of the steps that we are taking.
COVID-19 forms:
Our employees are required to fill out a form before every shift that says we are following COVID-19 protocols outside of work to ensure the safety of team members and clients. Not only that, but our clients are also required to fill out a COVID-19 form before every move to ensure that they are not exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone that has been diagnosed or showing signs. It is crucial that you inform our team as soon as possible if someone in your home is sick, in self-isolation or quarantine or has travelled to an area of significant risk.
Masks:
As of November 2020, all employees are required to wear masks during your move. This may slow down your move due to the breathing restrictions that masks can give. In order to help your move go as smoothly as possible, we will put in additional manpower.
Our clients are required to wear a mask during their move. Failure to do so will result in the job not being carried out.
If you wear a mask and our team wears a mask, there’s only a 1.5% chance of COVID-19 being spread, so please, wear your mask!
Sanitization:
We clean and sanitize our trucks after every single job we do. We also recommend that you sanitize most-touched surfaces like door knobs, taps and railings after the workers leave. After sanitizing, wash your hands.
Wash your hands! (and don’t touch anyone):
It is usually customary for us to shake our clients’ hands before a move, however, we are no longer doing that to prevent touching as much as possible. Our movers are equipped with hand sanitizer on our trucks, although we recommend having a separate bathroom (that you will sanitize later) so that the movers can wash their hands. Equip the bathroom with soap, hand sanitizer or wipes and paper towels. We also recommend that you wash your hands after your move, since you most likely touched surfaces like door knobs and railings.
Keep away, keep safe:
Although it may get difficult, we try to maintain a distance of 6 feet (the recommended social distancing guideline) from you as much as possible. This includes during the move and while taking #MovedWithKleiners photos. As a result, we usually try to take our #MovedWithKleiners photos outside, that way there is more room for our crew and for you to keep the distance. We recommend that you stay away from your movers as much as you can in your space. The physical distance can keep all of us safe.
We are doing our very best to #FlattenTheCurve. If you have any questions or want to book a move with us, please hesitate to contact us!
